The company was incorporated in Birmingham, Alabama, early in 2009 by Ruth Bean, Julie Carmichael, Lee Hurley, Dan Monroe and Dan Murch: five friends who enjoyed having lunch together and discussing ideas. Coming from advertising and publishing backgrounds, the group has a combined 97 years in vetting experienced, skilled, creative talent.
